TEEING IT UP TO STOP TRAFFICKING:
In September 2005, Cents of Relief
unveiled "Teeing It Up to Stop Trafficking," its
first charity golf tournament. Held at The
International Course at ChampionsGate in Orlando, FL, the tournament drew near
100 golfers whose golf swings not only competed for the first place, but also
raised funds for Cents of Relief's projects. The silent auction made possible
by the contributions of Cents of Relief?s
generous supporters raised additional funds, of which a portion went towards
helping victims of Hurricane Katrina. Cents of Relief would like to extend its
appreciation to those who made this such a successful event enabling women in
prostitution and their children a chance for a better life.
